Separation
From tears at the gate to walking in and finding a friend. We plan this deliberately with you rather than hoping it passes.
18 months to 3 years · Bayan Lepas
The year you hand your toddler to someone else is the hardest one. This room exists to make that handover calm, safe and genuinely good for them.
RightStart Babies is our licensed taska at No. 24 Jalan Pantai Jerjak 1, Bayan Lepas, for children aged 18 months to three years. The day covers settled routines, toilet training, first words in English with Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin exposure, fresh meals, and an afternoon nap. Full day and half day places, 7.30am to 6.30pm.
A day in this room
Toddlers settle when the day is predictable. The sequence does not change: arrival and free play, morning snack, focused play, outdoor time, lunch, nap, story, afternoon activity, home.
Within that frame, what your child is working on is theirs. One is learning to drink from an open cup. Another is learning that a friend's turn is not a disaster.
Daily rhythm
| Time | What happens | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 7.30am | Doors open, quiet free play | An early, gentle arrival beats a rushed one |
| 9.00am | Morning snack and toileting | Self-care is the curriculum at this age |
| 9.45am | Sensory and language play | Texture, water, sand, music and naming things |
| 11.00am | Outdoor or gross motor time | Climbing and balance build the body they will sit still with later |
| 12.00pm | Lunch, prepared fresh on site | Eating together is how fussy eaters improve |
| 1.00pm | Nap | Rested toddlers learn. Tired ones just cope |
| 3.00pm | Story, songs, small group activity | Listening stamina, built in minutes not hours |
| Until 6.30pm | Free play, handover chat at pickup | You hear about the day from the person who was in it |
Half day places finish after lunch.
What we work on
From tears at the gate to walking in and finding a friend. We plan this deliberately with you rather than hoping it passes.
Eating, drinking from a cup, washing hands, toileting, putting shoes on. The unglamorous skills that decide how preschool goes.
Naming, asking, refusing and describing. We log new words so you can see the curve, not guess at it.
Questions
Yes. RightStart holds Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat taska registration P/TI 004/2022. Ask to see it on your visit.
Not at all. Most children arrive in nappies. We work on it with you and follow your child's readiness, not a deadline.
We follow your child's sleep pattern for the first weeks, then ease towards the room's single nap only when they are ready.
Yes. Lunch and snacks are prepared fresh on site and included in the fee. Allergies and dietary needs are recorded before the first day.
Feeds, nappies, naps and mood are recorded daily, and you get a handover in person at pickup. No guessing.
Come at 9.45am on a weekday and watch the room when it is busy. That is the honest version.
