Babies and Taska

The year you hand your toddler to someone else is the hardest one. This room exists to make that handover calm, safe and genuinely good for them.

The short answer

RightStart Babies is our licensed taska at No. 24 Jalan Pantai Jerjak 1, Bayan Lepas, for children aged 18 months to three years. The day covers settled routines, toilet training, first words in English with Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin exposure, fresh meals, and an afternoon nap. Full day and half day places, 7.30am to 6.30pm.

A day in this room

Predictable for them, flexible for you

Toddlers settle when the day is predictable. The sequence does not change: arrival and free play, morning snack, focused play, outdoor time, lunch, nap, story, afternoon activity, home.

Within that frame, what your child is working on is theirs. One is learning to drink from an open cup. Another is learning that a friend's turn is not a disaster.

  • Toilet training done with you, at your child's pace, not on a schedule
  • First words tracked and reported, so a speech delay is caught early
  • Nap and feed times recorded daily and sent to you
  • A settling-in plan for the first two weeks, agreed before day one

What we work on

What changes in this year

Separation

From tears at the gate to walking in and finding a friend. We plan this deliberately with you rather than hoping it passes.

Self-care

Eating, drinking from a cup, washing hands, toileting, putting shoes on. The unglamorous skills that decide how preschool goes.

First language

Naming, asking, refusing and describing. We log new words so you can see the curve, not guess at it.

Questions

Taska questions

Is this a registered taska?

Yes. RightStart holds Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat taska registration P/TI 004/2022. Ask to see it on your visit.

My child is not toilet trained yet. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Most children arrive in nappies. We work on it with you and follow your child's readiness, not a deadline.

What if my child is still napping twice a day?

We follow your child's sleep pattern for the first weeks, then ease towards the room's single nap only when they are ready.

Do you provide meals?

Yes. Lunch and snacks are prepared fresh on site and included in the fee. Allergies and dietary needs are recorded before the first day.

How will I know what happened during the day?

Feeds, nappies, naps and mood are recorded daily, and you get a handover in person at pickup. No guessing.
